Type of Work: Full-Time
Description of the Position
Subsurface Engineer is in charge of well abandonment technical study and planning, including execution technique, equipment needs, cost analysis, detailed well design, internal and external approvals, and so on.
Responsibilities
Support well abandonment-related technical and execution planning activities, such as:
Well-developed P&A philosophy
Evaluation of rig-based vs. rigless rigs, as well as lodging support selection
Wellwork execution planning, including logistic support planning, with a detailed P&A design
Estimation of project costs and timelines
As needed, assist in the production of project deliverables relevant to well abandonment, such as:
Submissions for regulatory authorizations and a regulatory engagement plan
NORM management and disposal, as well as WellWork Management of Change, are all part of the WellWork execution plans (MOC)
To track/report progress and trends, WellWork reports include key performance indicators (safety, NPT, cost, etc.).
Estimated Costs and Timelines
Stakeholder communications and review packages for internal and external stakeholders
As needed, other project execution planning deliverables
Supports the WellWork Operations team’s execution of wellwork.
Attends related training, strategy sessions, and schedule development, among other things.

Experience & Skills
Engineering Bachelor’s Degree
Technical expertise in SSE / WellWork, particularly in the field of well abandoning
Strong leadership, persuading, and interpersonal skills Strong project management and corporate controls capabilities
Organizational, coordination, planning, and interaction abilities are essential.
Significant well abandonment planning experience
Industry standards, specifications, and work processes are well-versed.
Flexibility in the face of tight deadlines, enormous workloads, and frequent shifts in priorities
Excellent communication abilities, as well as the ability to read, write, and speak English fluently. Significant related experience.
