Burna Boy’s New Album, Love, Damini, Is Out Now
Burna Boy became the first Nigerian musician to headline a concert at Madison Square Garden in New York last night (April 28). He unveiled the title of his new album during the show: Love, Damini. The new album “is set to release for his 31st birthday,” which falls on July 2, according to a press release, although reps for the artist tell Pitchfork that the album does not yet have a specific release date.

Burna Boy’s follow-up to the Grammy-winning Twice as Tall will be Love, Damini. The singer has released a number of singles after releasing his album in August 2020, including “20 10 20,” “Kilometre,” “Question,” “Want It All,” and “B. d’Or.” He was nominated for Album of the Year (for contributions to Justin Bieber’s Justice) and Best Global Music Performance (for “Do Yourself”) at the Grammy Awards in 2022, but did not win any awards.
