Britney Spears weighed in on the situation after Jamie Lynn Spears thanked her followers on Instagram on Thursday for helping her controversial memoir, Things I Should Have Said, become a national best seller.
On Friday (Jan. 28), the pop artist tweeted clips from chat shows The Real and The Talk, in which hosts Adrienne Bailon and Akbar Gbaja-Biamila said Jamie Lynn should have discussed family concerns with her sister in private.
Britney Spears is fed up with her ‘national best seller’ sister Jamie Lynn, describing the ‘timing’ of her memoir ‘Things I Should Have Said’ as “unbelievable.”
Britney Spears is not going to be quiet any longer! As her tell-all book Things I Should Have Said continues to sell well, the “Baby One More Time” singer attacked her sister Jamie Lynn Spears once more. The singer mocked her sister’s new title as a “National best seller” in a caustic Instagram post. “Jamie Lynn, the timing of your book was incredible… especially knowing that the rest of the world was completely unaware of what had been done to me!!!!” She was ecstatic. “My entire family, including you, is saying YOU DIDN’T KNOW….
Videos from daytime talk shows The Real and The Talk were included in Brit’s post, detailing the sibling rivalry and backing with the pop star on how her sister shouldn’t have written the book. The singer of “Gimme More” hailed the “true soul sisters” for “saying it like it is,” and desired that more people would speak up. Britney then brought up Jamie Lynn’s alleged fabrications concerning her Zoey 101 co-star Alexa Nikolas. “I hope you’d take a lie detector test so all these people can see you’re lying through your teeth about me!!!!” she said, sarcastically applauding the “best seller” in her passionate remark. “I wish the Almighty, Lord could come down and reveal this entire world that you’re lying and profiting off me!!!!” “You are filth, Jamie Lynn,” she said with a strong warning to her sister. It’s safe to say that the “Toxic” singer and her sister aren’t going to be burying their differences anytime soon. Following the release of her book on Tuesday, Jan. 18, the “Circus” singer filed a cease and desist letter to her sister, requesting that she not mention her throughout the book tour. According to her letter, the pop star will not read the book and will no longer be “bullied” for book sales. In the meantime, Jamie Lynn has pleaded with her sister to “just call me” and resolve the feud. She believes the book isn’t only about Britney and that she can’t help but be a Spears, and that she has received “death threats” because of it. Britney told her younger sister she’ll always “love” her just before the memoir’s release, but after labeling her slime, it appears the book may have irreparably shattered their relationship.
