Nina Just, a presenter at a sales station, does not get her mother’s recognition despite all her efforts. Her mother Rose Just lives with her partner Werner in an old farmhouse just outside of Munich. After Nina learns that Rose has cancer and needs a kidney transplant, her personal life spirals into chaos. Surprisingly, a tender love story unfolds between Nina and roadside helper Mike amidst dramatic lies and amusing skipping plots. Despite the new euphoria and feelings of love for Mike, Nina wants to reconcile with her sick mother.
Rose Just is amused by Mike’s efforts to make a good impression on her. Daughter Nina is therefore quite tense.
