Man caught dumping piles of tires alongside highway

ELLENWOOD, Ga. — Clayton County Code Enforcement says they caught a person dumping tires as he tossed them down a hill.

Clayton County Police say code enforcement officers have been driving although the world close to Tanner Church Highway in Ellenwood after they observed a white van on Feb. 23.
Police say Yonas Gebrekerstos was dumping tires on the facet of the highway and down an embankment the place somebody had beforehand dumped tires.
Photographs police launched present a pile of tires on the backside of the embankment and tires stacked contained in the white van.

Code enforcement detained Gebrekerstos till law enforcement officials arrived. Code enforcement cited Gebrekerstos for littering on non-public property or waters and police arrested and charged him with legal trespass and dumping in prohibited areas.
Tire dumping is a continuing battle for code enforcement.
Channel 2 Motion Information reported in 2019 on the arrest of a person accused of dumping 100,000 tires throughout the metro space, together with Clayton County.
