Manchester City Beat Burnley To Climb Top Of Table

City has reclaimed first place in the table, but with only a point separating the two teams and a goal difference of just five, the title fight is only going to get more exciting.
Burnley were a long way behind the leaders and are still in second place. They have games in hand on the clubs on either side of them, but they’ve already played once more than Everton, and time is running out for them to keep control of things.

Rodri had a plethora of chances in the first half, but all game was solid as a rock in the City midfield. He finished with three shots, one of which forced a great save from Pope, and completed more passes than anyone else in Burnley’s half. He also won the ball ten times, twice via interceptions and twice winning free-kicks in the process. No goals in that second half, but City won’t care as their two in the first see them go back to the top of the table with a 2-0 victory! Burnley offered a little more attacking threat in that half, but nothing to really trouble City, who probably should’ve added to their lead given the plethora of chances they created. Alas, Liverpool’s time at the top of the tree was short-lived, and with this win, City top the pile once again.
