The purpose of the job
As a Major Account Manager, you will be responsible for the customer experience and growth of the key suppliers assigned to you from beginning to end.
Your job is to bring in the right inventory, create targeted specials, and manage our marketplace’s main providers.
Responsibilities include constant interaction with commercial operations, vendor experience, and the marketing team.
Ensure that our existing company continues to expand by owning pricing and promotion strategies, collaborating with marketing teams to improve product content and exposure, and managing stock availability by coordinating teams across the organization to get the product to the consumer.
Complete Sales performance of the 3c’s Categories, vendors, merchant management, and sales strategy monitoring with the goal of improving the business unit’s Net Margin Position (NMP) and Gross Merchandise Volume (GMV) (GMV).
Customer acquisition can be accomplished through Value Offering, Sales Campaign Management, and other methods.
Create and communicate strategic insights to the Business Unit in order to get important efforts aligned at many levels of the business.
Analyze and present post-promotional analysis for retail and Marketplace, quantifying brand and category impact.
Define and optimize your portfolio’s curation/assortment selection strategy, ensuring that the selection/styling is relevant to maximize income and sales velocity.
Support the product and content generation processes in order to expand the live assortment.
Stock availability should be planned and maintained at all times.
Identifying bigger trends and filling category gaps should be a skill.
Contribute to choosing which products/subcategories will be promoted on the website and through all marketing channels by creating a weekly marketing plan (Newsletters, Facebook, etc).
Develop excellent analytics to assess daily, weekly, and monthly performance and improve marketing, pricing, and product selection.
Develop and manage Jumia’s subcategories. By conducting financial analysis of the business, you can maintain the P&L and build yearly and quarterly category strategy plans.
Manage the whole physical product lifecycle, including product portfolio idea generation, from strategic activities to tactical implementation.
Collaborate closely with the vendor management team to discover vendors and negotiate contracts to achieve the highest quality and lowest cost.
To increase product availability, save expenses, and reduce our working capital expenditure, we’ve partnered with Jumia Services. Collaborate with system teams to identify the most important possibilities for process automation and efficiency improvements.
Work collaboratively with team members and other business groups to deliver results, and be comfortable presenting projects and results to senior leadership on a frequent basis.
