No concerts in the north: Grönemeyer cancels the tour because of Corona

Because of a corona outbreak in himself and in his team, the singer Herbert Grönemeyer has canceled his upcoming anniversary tour “20 Years of Man”. It would have started tomorrow in Hanover.

“Despite all precautionary measures, we were not spared from the virus. Unfortunately, the virus unfortunately also infected employees, band members and Herbert,” said Grönemeyer’s management on Wednesday.

Next tour planned for 2023
The 66-year-old Grönemeyer wanted to start the tour Thursday evening in Hanover. Other planned stations were Gelsenkirchen, Berlin, Leipzig, Hamburg and Munich. All team members are “deeply disappointed,” said the management. “Herbert and the others are feeling weird according to the situation – a mixture of sadness, anger and virus.” After two years of the strictest isolation and endurance tests during rehearsals, the cancellation was extremely bitter and devastating. The tickets can be returned at the advance booking offices. The musician’s next tour is planned for May 2023 in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
