Basic Responsibilities and Duties

Patient and customer service is the primary focus of this role, which reports directly to the Leadership. Opticians included in this group work in both sales and customer service capacities.
This includes greeting patients, helping them choose the right eyeglasses for their face shape or vision needs, offering promotional information, and addressing consumer questions. The optical sales staff will be held accountable for the productivity targets set for them and will be expected to carry out associated tasks under the supervision of management.
A patient’s experience at the optical store will be enhanced by sales staff who use suitable dispensing practices. Determine the power ranges and particular lens measures for each frame; measure, fit, and adjust lenses and frames for the client according to the specified optical prescription or specification.
Duties:

As soon as patients and customers enter the store, greets them and provides them with promotional information.
While adhering to the company’s standards and procedures, meet or exceed sales goals set by management.
Choose eyewear that is most appropriate for the patient’s or customer’s budget.
Customer complaints, disgruntled patients, and suggestions to rectify the situation should be handled by the customer service representative.
Look for prescription-related issues and fix them.
Completes the inventory count and restocks the supply as required.
Adheres to safety and quality control norms.
Follow the company’s rules for answering the phone.
Repair eyeglasses if necessary.
Aid clients in picking eyeglasses based on style and color, as well as coordinating eyeglasses with their facial and eye measurements and prescriptions, as part of their fundamental housekeeping duties.
Keep inventory and sales records, submit insurance information for patients, and do some basic bookkeeping as part of your administrative responsibilities
Choose the right lens, coating and frame for the client’s requirements.
Sell products linked to the eyes, such as contact lenses, eyeglasses, and sunglass frames.
Educate customers on the proper methods for putting on, taking out, and caring for their contacts.

Requirements:

English proficiency is a must (oral and written).
NYSC service is a requirement for consideration.
Must be well-versed in Microsoft Office applications (Excel and Word).
Phone etiquette is impeccable and multitasking is a breeze.

Greeting, helpful, and friendly.
The ability to work on one’s own without the aid of others.
Ability to think quickly on one’s feet is a must as is the ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with others.
Ability to pay close attention to small details.
A 2nd Class Lower or Lower Credit is the minimal requirement.
Having a working knowledge of Eye Clinic functions is a plus.
Between the ages of 20 and 30
Knowledge of another language is a plus.
Accreditation from an established organization is beneficial.
The more years of experience you have, the better your chances are.
Candidates from the Lekki and Ajah Axis are preferred.
