The PDP Presidential Primary shrouded in uncertainty as Stakeholders Wait For Accreditation

As of 8 a.m., journalists and other stakeholders were still waiting for accreditation for the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential primary scheduled for today, Saturday in Abuja.
Accreditation for the presidential primaries in 2022 was set to begin at 6 a.m. on Saturday, according to the National Organizing Committee.
Journalists and other stakeholders who rushed the party offices in Wuse Zone Five at around 8 a.m. on Saturday were still waiting for accreditation, according to the Daily Trust.
At the time of writing, the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) was supposed to be locked in a meeting.
According to unsubstantiated rumors, the PDP may move its presidential primary due to the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) late Friday extension of the primary date.
The ruling All Progressives Congress has already pushed back the date of its presidential primary to June 6.
Officials at the PDP secretariat on the ground have declined to comment on the current situation.
