What is the function of a Traveling Warehouse Order Selector?
Order Selectors are in charge of completing distribution center shipping and receiving operations, as well as ensuring that merchandise is moved accurately and safely throughout the Distribution Center. This is a temporary position that will be filled once the associate has completed the required probationary term and met the minimal objectives for the work assigned. During the probationary phase, safety and accuracy should be prioritized.

Pay Increase: Up to $22/hour Total Compensation

Purpose of Work:
Perform any shipping and receiving tasks that the supervisor or suitable designee may assign.
Maintain and operate all allocated equipment, including but not limited to an electric pallet jack and personal protective equipment, in a safe and efficient manner. Pre- and post-trip inspections are required, as well as safe operation of all mechanical equipment.
Pre-operational inspection of electric pallet jacks or forklifts in accordance with corporate policy
Maintain a clean and debris-free work environment by following appropriate sanitation standards.
Hand-pick orders in a variety of warehouse conditions with varying temperatures, such as Dry, Cooler, and Freezer.
Product should be stacked on pallets in compliance with suitable choosing methods (for example, no stacking heavy-on-light, labels facing out, etc.)
Routinely lift merchandise weighing up to 100 pounds; frequently reach up to 72 inches; continually bend and twist while obtaining items from lower shelf sections with an electric pallet jack and/or forklift.

Physical Exertions:
The physical demands outlined here are typical of those that must be met by an employee in order to properly perform the job’s key functions.
Working long hours, weekends, and holidays are all required.
Working in places with temperature and humidity changes based on local weather conditions, as well as establishing an appropriate setting, is required (Dry, Cooler, Freezer)

Work Experience
Requirements:
a high school diploma or an equivalent education
Working knowledge of motorized industrial equipment (PE)
Warehouse experience of four months
4 months of experience using an electric ride-on pallet jack and/or a stand-up forklift
Wearing a headset to allow voice selection in all sections of the warehouse is a plus (ex. Vocollect)
